After years of discussion and planning, the Harker Heights animal shelter broke ground. The $1.4 million shelter will be built at Clore Road and Indian Trail.
The 6,054 square foot shelter will offer double the space for animals and allow the animals to stay longer at the shelter. These additional days will help save more lives and provide the opportunity for more animals to find a home in the Harker Heights area.
The Harker Heights animal shelter is expected to be finishes by late fall 2010.
